How to correctly select printing paper and copy paper

with the popularity of office equipment such as printers and copiers, paper is an office supplies we have to contact every day, but how much do you know about it? You may think it's just a piece of paper. Is there any knowledge? In fact, the choice and use of office equipment paper plays a vital role in our daily office work and office equipment. Paper for office equipment is divided into two categories, namely, copy paper and printing paper

I. how to correctly select and use copy paper

although copy paper is a special paper for copiers, it has the widest range of applications and can be widely used in copiers, stylus printers, laser printers, inkjet printers, etc. when the output effect is not very high, especially in stylus printers and laser printers

there are four common types of copy paper: B5, A4, B4, A3, etc. Copy paper is a variety of office equipment 2 The most economical paper in the oscilloscope paper, for example, there are 8 packages of B5 copy paper in a box, with 500 sheets in each package, that is, a total of 4000 sheets in each box, and the current price of each box of B5 copy paper is yuan, so on average, the price of each paper is only cents, which is very cheap compared with other office equipment paper (such as some special inkjet printer paper)

copy paper is the most consumed material in the electrostatic copier and the embodiment of copy quality. Therefore, we must pay great attention to the correct use of copy paper

1. Thickness

the thickness of paper used by electrostatic copiers is generally between grams per square meter, and some copiers can use copy paper between grams per square meter

2. Surface luminosity

for general electrostatic copy paper, it is OK to have a slightly higher surface luminosity. If it is too smooth, it is not conducive to fixing, and it is not easy to cure. It can be used with single tape as required (single-sided copy). If there is a duplicator with double-sided copy, double tape is better. The surface of copy paper should be white

3. Density of paper

the fiber of paper should be dense and fine. Because the fiber of paper is too thin and too thick, it affects the quality of copy and imaging (that is, the paper separation rate of the upstream industrial base of developing silicone new materials), and it is easy to produce paper wool, paper scraps and dirt the machine. In particular, the dirty optical part will cause the bottom ash of the copy. The paper is too fragile, which is easy to break and cause paper jam. At the same time, it also affects the long-term storage of copies and copies

4. Stiffness of paper

although the gram number of some paper is appropriate, it is not necessarily suitable for the use of copiers, because: weight and stiffness are two different things, and often due to poor stiffness, it will wrinkle and block when encountering slight resistance during transmission. For example, there are two kinds of paper, both of which are 70g per square meter, but the fibrous tissue of the paper is soft, the stiffness is poor, and the paper is often jammed due to deformation and wrinkling with slight resistance. Therefore, only relatively stiff paper can be applied to electrostatic copiers

5. Damp paper

damp paper (paper with too much water content) will affect the copy quality before fitrin implements the above plan on new Dow. Its performance is:

a, paper jam is easy to occur, especially when it is bonded to the photoconductor (drum) and cannot be separated, which affects the copy efficiency

b, image, light handwriting, gray background. If it is in the season of mildew and rain in southern China, it will not be copied when it is serious

c, easy to deform when heated

therefore, the copy paper must be protected from moisture, and it is best to put it in a ventilated and dry place. The finished copy paper (500 pieces per package) purchased from the store must be unpacked after use. The bales of finished paper should not be opened before cutting, and the cut paper should be saved as a stack of boards

6. Paper cutting

the fibers of paper can be divided into vertical and horizontal. If the plate is cut according to the direction of the fiber, then the long side parallel to the fiber of the paper is "longitudinal", and the short side parallel to the fiber is "transverse". Electrostatic copying requires that the fiber direction of the paper should be "longitudinal", because it has good stiffness, and the resistance of the paper in operation is small (the running direction of the paper is consistent with the fiber direction of the paper), which is not easy to tear

7. Loading and placing of paper

although the loading and placing of paper in electrostatic copying is a small matter, there is also a certain stress, otherwise it is easy to jam paper

a: for the copy paper of semi-circular transmission, (because the paper needs to turn 180 degrees), the convex side of the copy paper should be facing down, so the flexible packaging manufacturers basically do not need it. If the concave side is facing down, it is not easy to separate. For the horizontal transmission copier, the smooth side of the paper should be upward

b: the paper shall be stacked when taking out. The lower half of the upper stack and the upper half of the lower stack shall not be loaded into the same paper supply tray together

c: before loading and placing paper, the paper should be fully twisted to reduce the adhesion between paper and paper. The method is as follows:

(a) take a stack of paper, hold both ends of the paper with both hands, pinch tightly at one end, loosen the pinch at the other end, then bend to one side, pinch tightly with both hands and straighten the paper to form a small arc, so that the air enters the gap of the paper, and repeat this action in the other direction.

(b) fold, level, and then pull the knife cutting part (knife edge) apart

(c) hold one end of the paper and shake off the broken paper and paper wool in the middle

II. How to correctly select and use printing paper

1. Paper quality

paper can be white or color. In order to ensure smooth paper feeding, the paper must be clean and accurately cut. You may find that some cheap paper is not cut accurately, and the size of the paper may deviate from the size stated on the package by mm. Similarly, cheap paper may be full of dust. The above problems should be avoided

2. Paper weight

when printing, the paper must pass through a precise paper path. Therefore, paper that is too light or heavy may refuse to enter the printer. Therefore, light or heavy paper is usually not suitable for most printers. It will cause frequent paper blockage. Most laser printers are designed to use paper weighing approximately per square meter, or pounds in U.S. units. Some laser printers use 60 grams of paper per square meter, but this is an exception rather than a common phenomenon

3. Paper condition

all papers must be kept clean. Wet papers cannot be fed correctly, and may tilt or fold on the paper path. Print quality on wet paper is usually poor. On the laser printer, the wet shift point may be blurred (or cannot be displayed at all). In all cases, the paper should be isolated from dust and dust, which may pollute the mechanical device of the printer. Please be sure to use new paper (especially after the printer has been idle for a long time)

4. Paper surface and curl

all paper has a natural tendency to curl slightly, because paper is usually stored in large paper rolls before cutting. The direction of curling (preferably the opposite side of the printing surface) is generally marked on the paper package with arrows. Most laser printers require the paper roll surface to be placed upward (printing the other side), which can reduce the occurrence of paper failure and paper blockage
